Ice Cream Oats – 3 ways!

Ice Cream Oats – 3 ways!

Scrolling through Instagram a few days ago, I came across someone having cookie dough flavoured oats. While that seemed interesting enough, I got to thinking if that ice cream flavour can be replicated, so can others! So, I chose my three favourite flavours for my Ice Cream Oats, viz., Red Velvet, Choco Chio and Mocha! I’m honestly very very excited for this! So without further ado, let’s delve into it.

CHOCO CHIP OATS

I made a few changes to tweak this recipe a bit to make it healthier, because what honestly is the points of oats otherwise?

What you’ll need:
Choco Chip oats Calconn

1/3 cup quick cooking oats
Milk as needed
1 tbsp coconut sugar
1 tbsp unsweetened Cocoa powder
1/2 tbsp Raw cacao nibs (can be replaced with 1 tbsp dark chocolate chips)

How to Proceed:

All you do is literally mix all the ingredients together and add around 1/4 cup of milk. Store in the fridge overnight and have the yummiest overnight oats for breakfast the next day.

RED VELVET OATS

What you’ll need:

1/4 cup quick cooking oats
2 tbsp greek yoghurt
1/2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp red food colour
Milk as needed

How to Proceed:

Mix all the ingredients except the milk together until well combined. Add the milk as desired to adjust consistency. Store overnight and serve the next morning with a dollop of cream cheese frosting (without sugar).

MOCHA OATS

Mocha oats Calconn

What you’ll need:

1/4 cup quick cooking oats
1/2 tbsp instant espresso powder
1/2 tbsp sugar
Milk as needed
cinnamon powder (if desired)

How to proceed:

Make a cup of coffee with 1/4 cup of milk, coffee and sugar.Add the oats and more milk to adjust consistency. Store overnight and serve the next morning topped with some sugar free cream!

A few points to remember through this-

  • You can use a sweetener of your choice.
  • To make this recipe vegan, all you’ve to do is use nut milk as opposed to dairy.
  • The consistency you’re looking for while adjusting with milk is creamy like a pudding.
